School of Foreign Languages Hosting the Lecture: Intercultural Communication: Origins, Challenges, and Personal Contributions

On May 31, 2025,the School of Foreign Languages invited Professor Natalia Fernández Díaz-Cabalfrom the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain, to deliver an onlinelecture titled “Intercultural Communication: Origins, Challenges, and Personal Contributions”. Professor Díaz-Cabal introduced the history of interculturalcommunication studies and analyzed the current research trends in the field.Finally, she shared insights from her more than 30 years of experience inintercultural communication research, as well as some content from her recentlypublished book. The lecture was hosted by Vice Dean Du Lijuan of the School ofForeign Languages, and faculty members gathered in Room 1508 of theAdministrative Building to attend the lecture. After the lecture, ProfessorDíaz-Cabal engaged in a lively interaction and discussion with the facultymembers of the School of Foreign Languages.
