School of Foreign Languages Partners with Shanghai Zhangyan High School to Build a Premier Student Recruitment Base

To promote collaborative educationbetween universities and high schools and to enhance the recruitment outreachof Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES), a delegation, includingAdmissions Director Zhou Huiyan, Section Chief Wan Shan, Teacher Chen Yinyin,Deputy Dean Du Lijuan from the School of Foreign Languages, and Deputy DirectorWu Yuanqiong from the Translation Department, visited Shanghai Zhangyan HighSchool on May 17th. This visit was guided by the Zhangyan Town Government inJinshan District and aimed to discuss recruitment strategies and to award theschool with the "SUES High-Quality Student Recruitment Base"designation.

The event was significantlysupported by the local government, with Deputy Town Mayor Li Wen andprospective Deputy Mayor Luo Zhicheng joining the SUES team at Zhangyan HighSchool for a cooperative exchange meeting. The meeting was led by PrincipalRuan Yi, who is also the Party Secretary of the high school, with alladministrative staff, grade leaders, and faculty representatives in attendance.

Director Zhou Huiyan highlightedthe unique educational features, programs, and employment outcomes of SUES,while Deputy Dean Du Lijuan and Deputy Director Wu Yuanqiong discussed thetalent development programs within the School of Foreign Languages. Theyencouraged students from Zhangyan High School to consider SUES for furthereducation in the beautiful Chengyuan campus. The SUES team addressed the seniorteachers' concerns about program specifics and subject requirements andexplored potential collaborations in career guidance, micro-course development,and student research projects.

Deputy Mayor Li Wen expressed hisapproval of the event and anticipated further close cooperation between the twoinstitutions. Luo Zhicheng showed his readiness to facilitate and support thepartnership. This event not only built a platform for cooperation andinteraction but also strengthened the relationship between the twoinstitutions, laying a solid foundation for ensuring the quality and quantityof student recruitment.
