The Personnel Department interpreted the retirementpolicy for the School of Mathematics and Statistics and the School of ForeignLanguages.

On November 21,Mao Yongfeng, the head of the Salary and Benefits Section at the PersonnelDepartment, visited Room 1308 in the Administration Building to discuss andexplain the new "Decision on Implementing a Progressive Delay in theStatutory Retirement Age" with faculty from the School of Mathematics andStatistics and the School of Foreign Languages. They were warmly greeted byZhang Chaomin, the CPC Branch Secretary of the School of Foreign Languages and theSchool of Mathematics and Statistics, and Wu Jianbao, the associate dean of theSchool of Mathematics and Statistics.

Mao providedinsights into the context of the new retirement policy, comparing andcontrasting the changes in the policy documents. He also elaborated on theretirement benefits for various teacher roles, the flexible implementationstrategies for different age groups, the retirement procedures at ouruniversity, and the pension collection process.

     The faculty showed a keen interest in theupdated retirement policy and engaged in a lively discussion with Mao, seekingclarification on their concerns. Through this session, the teachers gained adeeper understanding of the practical aspects of the delayed retirement schemeand the associated benefits. They committed to contributing their best to theeducational mission of the university and their respective schools.
