To advance the “One College, One Signature Initiative” for integrity culture, the Joint Party Committee of the School of Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and the School of Foreign Languages has, since early November, organized the “Translating Integrity: Carrying Forward Clean Governance” translation activity featuring classical Chinese writings on integrity.
To ensure the successful implementation of the activity, the Committee promoted the event through the College’s official WeChat account, engaged faculty members through Party branches, and mobilized students via the campus translation club Yi Jiang Society. Through bilingual translation, participants were encouraged to gain deeper insight into the ancient wisdom of self-discipline, family cultivation, and good governance—strengthening awareness of integrity while integrating fine traditional Chinese culture with the translation and dissemination of Chinese stories. The activity contributed to building a vibrant cultural atmosphere that values integrity, honesty, and self-discipline.
After collecting and reviewing submissions, the Committee selected three first-prize winners in the faculty category, two first-prize winners in the student category, four second-prize winners, as well as several additional award recipients. The award-winning pieces covered a wide range of genres, including poems, family letters, and stories that embody the virtue of clean governance.
Certificates and prizes were presented to the winning teachers and students. Their works were professionally mounted and displayed in public areas of the College, further cultivating an environment of “constant reminder, constant education” and enriching the College’s culture of integrity.
