On the afternoon of April 11, the SFL Teachers' Teaching Development Sub-Center successfully organized the 2025 Xingzhi Forum, themed "LLM-Based Foreign Language Teaching and Research," in the conference room on the 19th floor of the Administration Building. Professor Zhao Chaoyong, Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Languages at East China Normal University and doctoral supervisor, was invited as the keynote speaker to delve into the innovative development of foreign language education in the age of artificial intelligence. The forum was chaired by Professor Du Lijuan, Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, with over 40 key faculty in attendance.

Professor Zhao Chaoyong provided a systematic explanation of the innovative applications of large language model (LLM) technology in the field of foreign language education. The lecture covered topics including: AI-based intelligent design of personalized learning pathways, the development of intelligent teaching assistance and real-time Q&A systems, automated generation technologies for multimodal teaching resources, and the reform of AI-powered translation teaching models.As a featured event of the 2025 Teaching Innovation Month, this forum helped teachers gain a deeper understanding of the trends in smart education and provided methodological guidance on integrating technological innovation into teaching practices.
