
On the afternoon of April 15th, the School of Foreign Languages invited Benjamin H. Nam, Associate Professor and Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Global Education Comparison at the School of Education of Shanghai International Studies University, to deliver an academic lecture. The theme of the lecture was "Using China as a Method: The Relevance of Theory and Applicability of Approaches in Language and Cross-Cultural Education."
During the lecture, Benjamin H. Nam provided a profound explanation of the significant value and importance of conducting research practices based on Chinese language and culture. He shared valuable insights from his team on research topic conception, field investigation, research methodology selection, and subject screening. He also engaged with the attending faculty and students on specific issues related to cross-cultural education and innovative international talent development, exploring pathways to organically integrate excellent traditional Chinese culture with modern educational concepts.
